Cheek Law Offices - A New Yorker's Pain - Reliving 911
Hi friends. Now, I found out about Cheek Law Offices - A New Yorker's Pain - Reliving 911. Which is very helpful in my opinion so you. A New Yorker's Pain - Reliving 911I was born and raised in New York City. I lived there for the first 45 years of my life. While that time I was always proud to be a New Yorker. I loved the attitude of the city and it's people. Loved cheering for the Knicks, Giants, Jets and of course the Ny Yankees (sorry Mets fans, never got to liking the Mets). New Yorkers have a reputation for being a cold bunch. Spend some time there and you'll learn that Ny'ers are great once you get to know them.
What I said. It just isn't the final outcome that the real about Cheek Law Offices. You check this out article for information about anyone need to know is Cheek Law Offices.Cheek Law Offices
I hated to leave my home town, but my wife and I decided that it was no longer the place to raise our ten year old daughter. September 11th 2001 changed our lives, it robbed us of our security. We no longer felt safe in a city that we loved so much.
In his speech at the Rnc John McCain said that he was grateful to President Bush for protecting the country since 9/11. What he should have been saying was why didn't President Bush or Mayor Giuliani protect the population of Ny before 911.
I arrived at my office at Lockheed/Martin on 34th street and 9th ave (about a 10 min train ride from Wtc) at 8:30 am. I had taken a morning meal break at 9am and was paged over the office intercom. I picked up the phone line and heard a hysterical associate of mine on the phone, he was as a matter of fact calling from the lockheed martin office in Miami Fla. He was request me what was going on at the Wtc, I had no idea what he was talking about.
As he began to tell me that a plan had hit one of the twin towers, I started to notice that everyone on my office floor was in a panic, everyone was scrambling to every available Television set to see what was going on, some had even taken to the roof of the building to get a look at the towers. Yhen the second plane hit.
We were all in shock and terrified at the same time. Most of us had friends or family that worked in or around the twin towers, and none of us could reach whatever by phone. We watched as the first tower went down and then the second. Some of us cried some of us were to numb to feel.
We looked out of our office windows as the day progressed and watched the mass exodus from the city, thousands of population manufacture their way down the west side highway. On 9th ave and 35th street an elderly man stood with his arms spread wide retention and American flag with tears streaming down his cheeks.
We heard about an additional one plane hitting the pentagon and many of us were worried about a plane perhaps hitting the Empire state building which was only two blocks away from our building. Our building went into a accumulate lock down until it was safe to leave. It wasn't as if we could have gotten home if we wanted to leave. Group transportation was shut down, all highways were ended and Police and fireman were all over the city.
Finally at 1am in the morning we were told that some trains were running and that an additional one shift was on it's way in and we could leave. I walked to Penn hub to take the Long Island hasten home. When I got to the hub it was almost deserted. I saw a lone conductor standing on a platform and asked about my train. He pointed and told me to get on his car, there were only two other population on the train and they sat staring blankly.
The train took off straight through the 34th street tunnel and emerged minutes later in queens, looking back toward the city was shocking, I had been so used to looking the Twin Towers sparkling as part of the city's skyline. Now there was just an huge cloud of smoke.
I arrived home a half hour, fortunately my wife was on a trip to London and my daughter at my in-laws, I turned on the television and watched the bad dream play out over and over again.
I will Never thank President Bush for protecting me or my family, 911 is still an unpunished atrocity and so many population died that day due to our country's carelessness.
Today I'll say a prayer for those lost on 911, and for the soldiers lost fighting a needless war in Iraq. On Nov 4th I'll vote for Barack Obama and pray that no one ever has to see an additional one 911.
